Side to side-off shore wind direction, with strenght that ranges from 4.4 to 5.2 and waves in between 1 and 4 meters. This wave has sections and it is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Just in front of the town, get ready for a beer or pisco sour at Surazo Restaurant post session!
Las Brisas offers side-on shore strong winds, a perfect spot to jump or get comfy with the Chilean conditions. From there, sailing 20 minutes upwind you can reach Roca Cuadrada, an epic wave spot with strong wind from the shore and fast, punchy and fun waves! Views are insane!
Topocalma is the dreamy spot and when it delivers it's probably one of the best waves on Earth! Side-off shore wind direction, usually starting light and then getting super strong; waves are clean, long and powerful. The place is incredibly wild and rough; a hidden gem!
Pupuya is similar to Las Brisas, delivering strong side-on shore wind for epic jumping and some fun clew-first riding for european-style conditions. You can finish off your session at the Lobera Restaurant, which always offers great vibes with music and epic sunsets!

I don't know where to begin to describe the emotions I felt during my first wave windsurfing adventure.
The place: a wonderful fishing village, super friendly and kind locals, truly beautiful and comfortable accommodations with a breathtaking view of Matanzas Beach. Located on the promontory, it offers unforgettable sunsets.
The sporting experience: for me, it was incredible!! My very first time on the waves, and what waves!! Our coach and instant friend, Federico Morisio, is a true professional, not only from a sporting/competitive perspective, but also from a human and personal perspective... as soon as we land at the Santiago de Chile airport, he makes you feel right at home. Always smiling, available to provide explanations during video analysis before and after each session, both in and out of the cool waters of the Pacific Ocean. A down-to-earth guy, full of energy, who constantly motivates and motivates you, making you want to never leave the water. Loved by everyone in Matanzas and beyond, including the other two spots, Las Brisas and Punta Topocalma, which we visited and surfed over the days, carefully monitoring the weather and sea (ocean in this case) conditions and exploring small spots where we could stop to buy fresh local fruit for breakfast.
The day: a beautiful and intense one, with a hearty breakfast at home or at one of the many beach bars, to recharge your batteries—a lot of it is needed during each session. We begin with explanations of the spot, video analysis, and then we set up our gear—all pro-grade materials, perfect for quickly getting a feel for the conditions at each spot. Once the pickup is loaded, we're off!
Into the water: here, you can appreciate the true power of the wind and waves only once you get on the board, and from the first ride, you know it's serious business. There are no discounts; you have to give it your all and complete every outing, no matter how it goes, with a smile, knowing you'll have professional drone videos and photos to help you figure out anything that's wrong, and adjust your approach to get back in the water and immediately put the advice of legendary coach Fede into practice.
